Garth Grimes
Garth Grimes is the principal consultant and professional consulting license holder for Detritus Consulting Ltd. has been active as an archaeologist since 1982 and has directed hundreds of projects across Ontario since 1993. In addition to his work as an archaeological consultant, Mr. Grimes has also undertaken work on numerous international sites both on land and underwater, as an archaeological field school trainer and as a historic architectural consultant. Mr. Grimes is a professional member of the Ontario Association of Professional Archaeologists (APA).

Jon Cousins
Jon Cousins is our Waterloo/Wellington field director. Jon has a directed numerous successful projects across Southern Ontario and has a wealth of experience with artifact identification in the lab.

Walter McCall
Dr. Walter McCall is our project archaeologist and a company partner. Walt has 20 years of field experience as a professional archaeologist in Ontario and abroad including nine years in the field of CRM and three years as a university field school founder and instructor.

Mike Pitul
Mike Pitul is our Niagara Region field director. Mike has worked as a field director since 2012 and has a breadth of experience working with all types of archaeological sites across Niagara Region and Southern Ontario.

Danielle Bellefleur
Danielle Bellefleur is our environmental specialist and heads the new BC wing of the company. Danielle is a graduate of Dalhousie University and had a long career as biologist and CRM manager at Parks Canada before joining Detritus Consulting Ltd.

Melanie Hains
Melanie Hains is based in the Kitchener-Waterloo, Cambridge and Guelph area. She has an R license and 10 years of experience in the field and lab and has a strong interest in historic archaeology.

Matty Gibson
Matty Gibson is our project manager and report editor based in the Hamilton-Niagara region. Matty is embarking on his fifth field season with Detritus Consulting Ltd. after a successful career with Parks Canada. Matty's strong work ethic has made him indispensable to the company's success."
